Are you saying that the Philippines has more than one language?
Yes. Although you might see books (even textbooks), magazine articles, and other printed materials referring to a single "Philippine language" of which all the other languages in the Philippines are dialects, that is simply not true, and is partly caused by a misunderstanding between "language" and "dialect" and partly caused by the insistence of the national government to foster a single language.
