You say you're for native languages. Why the heck is this FAQ written in English?
Regarding language, I am afraid you may be the victim of Manuel L. Quezon’s ignored King Canute lesson. You see, we cannot CHOOSE language, for language chooses us. You cannot create language, for language creates us.
Why, look at the very language with which you urge “indigenous” languages be “preserved”. Making the argument in English already means you have lost it, in my opinion. There is no escaping the fact that we are inextricably a part of the “Anglosphere”. Live with it.

There are two major reasons:
- English is the language understood by majority of the target sector in Philippine society.
- English is a leveling tongue, since it is foreign to us.
