What is a FAQ?

A FAQ is a document containing a list of Frequently Asked Questions and their answers.

Of course, not all questions here are frequently asked. In those cases where the question is not frequently asked, you may consider FAQ to stand for Frequently Anticipated Questions.

For years (since 2003, in fact) I've been a subscriber of the Defend the Indigenous Languages of the Archipelago mailing list. A lot of issues regarding the Philippine National Language Policy had been asked and answered in that superb forum. However, I felt that there was no comprehensive single document where a list of all the questions and their answers could be found. That is partly the reason why I created this FAQ.

The FAQ format was made necessary by the fact that while I list a lot of questions and their answers here, there are still a lot of issues that could be asked in the future. That means that you should take this as a working document, and changes may be put in place in the future.
